“Why you do things”

The most important thing that I learned from my Startup experience (among many other great experiences!!) so far is, that the “why you do things” is way more important than any other reasons like e.g. “how you do things”, or “what things you do”, to start a successful business. It is the core of a golden circle, which can reach our deepest emotions. That’s why I published a storybook about my Startup. To inspire. To create impact. To make changes happen.

I also highly recommend Simon Sineks great TED Talk, in which he explains this simple, but very powerful model of inspiring leaders, that starts with a golden circle and the question “Why?”. His examples include Apple, Martin Luther King, the Wright brothers – and Tivo, as a counterexample.
